The Food and Drug Administration just issued a very important warning this week, by noting that they will put a ban on triclosan. That ingredient is a common antibacterial agent which is used in different products that we use on daily basis like soaps,detergents, toothpaste, cosmetics, toys etc. This chemical contains a high-degree of health risks and side effects.
Did you know that a toothpaste which is frequently used by 80 % of people around the world is in that list as an active ingredient? We are talking about Colgate Total which attracts so much attention with the smiley and whitey teeth commercials.
As we said before, triclosan is also found on another sanitary products.
“Based on scientific evidence, the balance of benefit and risk is favorable for these products,” Andrea Fischer, an FDA Spokesperson, said of the announcement.
You should really be careful while choosing the right products for your health because they can have countless side effects in the near future. According to some other members of FDA, the dangers of triclosan are many.
What triclosan can do to your body?
Having huge disadvantages this chemical can bother many parts of your body which can be so much dangerous.
