Heatstroke can sound like a normal body condition, but it can be so harmful to the health. Its symptoms may look like there’s nothing to complain about, but that’s not true.
You should be very careful how do you maintain the room temperature where you are staying. Things get more serious when the heatstroke appears at children.
Heatstroke at children is more dangerous and can have symptoms like headache, sweating, thirst etc.
Below you will read a story of a mother who found her daughter suffering from heatstroke in her own bedroom. Jennifer Abma decided to share this terrifying story to social media by posting a photo of her daughter, Anastasia, in order to aware other parents about the possibilities of heatstroke.
.
In her Facebook post, Jennifer explains that her daughter put herself down for a nap. When Jennifer went to check on her sometime later, she found her daughter “soaked in sweat, red-faced and boiling.”

What actually happened to her daughter?
.
Terrified, Jennifer tried to wake her young daughter. When she was unable to wake her, she called an ambulance. Jennifer wrote, “This was my evening, this was the scariest moment I’ve had to imagine.this is severe heatstroke. There is nothing scarier than not being able to wake your baby up. This is clear proof a child doesn’t need to be in the sun to get heat stroke.”
Jennifer continued, “It took us 20 minutes to wake her up, when the ambulance came, they came with investigators because they didn’t know what to expect. This was proof how fast things change.”
Sweating, red face, sleep were some of her daughter’s symptoms
While Anastasia had not been outside in the sun her bedroom was extremely hot. Jennifer explained, “I had no idea how hot her bedroom was until I went to wake her up soaked in sweat, red face, boiling and unable to wake her for 15 minutes, ambulance arrived faster then I could have ever imagined and took her sugars which were 1.2 and should be above four. [Paramedics] administered sucrose and in minutes she started crying, clearly scared.”

She wrote, “This is a lesson learned and hopefully other parents can take something from this and make sure you are checking the rooms in your house because they can be as dangerous as a hot car.”
The post has been shared over 11,000 times. Many Facebook users were shocked that children could develop heatstroke indoors and thanked Jennifer for sharing her story.
