Old couples have always some stories to tell. Considering that they were been married in such a young age, maybe at 18 they even became parents, they have passed to the roads that now younger couples luckily could skip and have an easier life!
There are so many things to be counted like: there was no technology (including TV’s, internet, smartphones), hospitals war much far away from home, men didn’t have a chance to have a car like now, there were no taxi’s, food was more same and wasn’t diverse like today, houses were much smaller, there were no air conditions or radiators, there were no shopping centres and clubs and many other things.
But, even though many things didn’t existed, true couples enjoyed their time and complained less than today’s couples. Today, young couples have almost everything starting from: a college degree, a job that pays well, a big house, every technology asset, a luxury car, modern clothes and many other things.
Here’s an inspiring story of a old married couple who discuss about their life.
After being married for 50 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, “Fifty years ago we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10—inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep with a hot 23—year—old girl every night.
Now, I have a $500,000 home, a $45,000 car, a nice big bed and a large screen TV, but I’m sleeping with a 69—year—old woman. It seems to me that you’re not holding up your side of things.”
My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 23—year—old girl and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap house, driving a junk car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10—inch black and white TV.
Aren’t older women great? They really know how to solve an old guy’s problems.
As you can realise, women always got a great answer for a complex question. Here you can realise that for so many years they kept up loving each other and always investing in the things that made them happy.
You can also think about that you can’t have money, love and happiness at the same time. It is very difficult but you can have just 2 of these! When you are younger you can be happy and be madly in love.
While getting older you can have so much money but still have a love of your life waiting for you with a smile!!
