When talking about sanitary pads, the first thing that comes to your mind is period. Considering that learning something new is always beneficial and challenging for a person, this time you’ll learn the most practical uses of these pads. `
You can use sanitary pads:
1. To protect and cover your wounds
When you don’t have the first aid kit at hand but you get injured or noticed the bleeding from a wound, the sanitary pads can come to your rescue. Just press it against the wound and secure it in place with a band aid or duct tape. It will stop the bleeding and protect the wound from infections until you get proper medical care.

Next time you’re on a hiking trip or get stranded somewhere without access to pure, drinking water make sure you have your sanitary pads with you. Just fill a bottle with undrinkable water, place a sanitary pad through the insole and fixate it well. You’ll get pure, filtered water in no time.
Tip: Boil the water before you drink it, because it’s not 100% bulletproof protection.
3. To grow sprouts
Did you know that you can use these little pads to grow certain types of beans, like alfalfa sprouts? Since they retain moisture they’re excellent for this. Dampen a sanitary pad and place it in a glass jar, vertically. Place the seeds on top of the pad and put the jar next to a window. In just a few days you’ll see the sprouts growing.
4.As a cleaning cloth
Forget about paper towels, sanitary pads are the next generation cleaning cloths. They are virtually indestructible and have a strong absorption power. If you add some baking soda you’ll never use anything else again. Dampen a sanitary pad and sprinkle some baking soda on it. Wipe your microwave and then turn it on for a minute. The moisture will soften the stains and it’ll make them easier to remove.
You can also use it in your fridge, to absorb the melted ice or unpleasant fridge odors.
5. To Eliminate sweaty feet
Since they have great absorption power they are great for sweaty feet or armpits. Just place one pad in each shoe and you’ll never fear smelly feet anymore.
You can also tape them on the inside of your shirt, under the armpits, to prevent sweat circles from appearing.
This trick is used by many celebrities such as the Formula 1 driver, Nico Rosberg who wears a pad under his helmet to absorb sweat so it doesn’t run into his eyes.
6. As breast pads
