What actually happened to this young boy?
The family of a fifteen-year-old boy has released shocking photographs taken after he was attacked when he got off a bus in South Wales. The boy, who hasn’t been named, was on his way home from school and suffered severe swelling and cuts to the face in the attack.He was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw.

How did the police react?
Police are investigating the incident, which occurred in North Cornelly in Bridgend, and have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the attack, who was released on bail.The photographs were published by a family friend who has appealed for witnesses and information.Sarah Davies said: “ Please, if anyone saw anything please tell the police.
“I’m sharing this with his mum’s permission.”The 15-year-old was left bloodied and with huge swelling to the right side of his face after the assault on his way home from school in Bridgend (Wales News Service)

Police have asked witnesses of the attack to come forward.A South Wales Police spokesman said: “Police in Bridgend are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a teenage boy in North Cornelly to come forward.“The incident occurred as the 15-year-old victim got off a bus at Woodland Place, at approximately 4pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.“He sustained serious facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
“A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident.”
